Simplified point values make tracking easier — 1 point will now equal 1 penny in redeemable allowance.***


A simplified redemption process works harder, so you don’t have to.

Just let your dealer know you’d like to redeem your points after you have negotiated your best offer and provide the last 4 digits of your member number or email address associated with your My GM Rewards account. That’s it — no more vouchers required.

For Protection Plans and other rewards, you’ll be able to redeem your points on the all-new My GM Rewards website and mobile app.


We wanted to create an exciting new experience for you that gets better over time because we appreciate every mile you’ve spent with us.


Will the value of my points stay the same?

Absolutely! The value of your hard earned points will stay exactly the same. For example, 20,000 points will become 10,000 points, but the value for redemption will remain $100. This change is expected January 2022.

When will my point total change?

Change is planned for early January. This will take place automatically with no action required.

Why is my point total changing?

We want to make it easier to understand the value of your points. The ONLY thing converting is your point total — you will still get the exact same value from your points. For example, if your previous point total was 20,000 points, it was worth $100 toward redemption. With the change, your new total would be 10,000 points — but still worth $100 toward redemption.

What is happening to vouchers?

Our members asked for easier ways to redeem points, so we will be removing the need to use vouchers. Redemptions will now be made digitally or through your dealership without the use of a physical voucher. Please use any outstanding vouchers by 1/9/22, or call the call center at 844-764-2665 to cancel your vouchers. New vehicle purchase or lease vouchers can be canceled online before 1/9/22 or within 90 days of the printed voucher expiration, whichever comes first. How do I cancel my voucher for a new vehicle purchase or lease?

Visit your dashboard on our website and select the new vehicle redemption voucher you wish to cancel. Select “Manage Voucher” at the bottom of your voucher, and then follow the cancellation prompts. Your points will then be refunded back into your account.

What if I don’t use my vouchers by 1/9/22?

The voucher will expire and your points will be forfeited. Please make sure to contact the call center at 844-764-2665 to cancel by 1/9/22, or there will be no way to recover your points.

My GM Rewards is separate from My GM Rewards Cards. Credit approval required. Cardmembers may earn and redeem points at participating GM dealers. Cardmember points are earned on eligible purchases and do not expire. Points are accrued once per transaction and are not earned on taxes, discounts, rebates, incentives, cash advances, balance transfers, ATM withdrawals, finance charges or fees. ***Points earned are based on the date the transaction is processed. On 1.10.2022 point values will be changing, so points will be posted to your count on or after that date will be subject to new earn point values.
